Unilever Process Engineer in Covington, Tennessee

Background & Purpose of the JobAs a Process Engineer, you'll champion initiatives to elevate our operational excellence, specifically focusing on enhancing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reducing waste, and driving cost savings in our Ice Cream production. You are the catalyst for change, tasked with implementing process improvements, capacity projects, and introducing cutting-edge technology to revolutionize our manufacturing processes. By developing and executing our Long-Term Technology Plan, you ensure the implementation of sustainable, value-driven projects using World Class Manufacturing methodologies to enhance safety, reduce defects, and optimize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Focused Improvement and Operations teams to identify and prioritize continuous improvement projects, leveraging loss data.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and waste, and develop technical solutions to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.

  • Engage with WCM Leader, Finance Leader, and Manufacturing Leader to strategically select and manage projects.

  • Drive capital efficiency by innovating cost-effective project implementations and exploring alternative technical solutions to extend equipment life and reduce environmental impact.

  • Support cross-site process and packing activities, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and contributing to a cohesive supply chain strategy.

  • Champion a culture of change by continuously seeking and implementing more efficient methods of operation and promoting a shift towards a digitally optimized, flexible production environment.

What You’ll Need To Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience with automated manufacturing systems including servo motors, PLC applications, and AGV technology.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with PowerBI and SQL for data analytics is preferred.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $68,000 to $102,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
