As the Senior Records Specialist, you will be joining the U.S. Legal Department, which oversees the preservation, maintenance, and tracking of records across the U.S. business. Your responsibilities will include (i) overseeing records management, including internal and external personnel, (ii) maintaining Unilever’s historical archive, and (iii) supporting the Litigation group in prosecuting and defending lawsuits and claims. The Senior Records Specialist reports to the Associate General Counsel – Litigation, who leads the litigation practice group for the U.S. business.

You have a proven ability to balance multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines with quality work and close attention to detail. You are a quick study with a positive attitude. You are able to communicate clearly, possess superior interpersonal skills, and exhibit exceptional reading comprehension. You can work on cross-functional teams. You have an interest in history and a willingness to dig through old boxes to find historical records. You understand or will quickly learn the importance of confidentiality and privilege.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Digital savvy – proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access; knowledge or willingness to learn Office 365, Sharepoint, SAP, and other programs as needed

  • Real accountability – become the recognized expert for Unilever’s Records department

  • Multitasking expert – ability to juggle multiple tasks and timelines

  • Creative, out of the box thinking – willingness to chase leads, do research, and be proactive in order to locate information and documents necessary to defend or prosecute lawsuits and other claims

  • “Go get ‘em” attitude – positive outlook and proactive nature

  • Exceptional communication and comprehension skills
