Your Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Specialist to join our dynamic commercial product development team. As a Data Specialist, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions within our Azure environment. Your expertise in Azure services, coding abilities, and experience with data lakehouses will be instrumental in driving our data initiatives forward.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design and Develop Data Solutions:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient, reliable, and high-quality data solutions.
  • Leverage Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, Azure IoT Hub, Azure Event Hub, Azure Storage Accounts, and Azure Service Bus, to build robust data pipelines.
  • Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks or comparable technologies.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and scalability throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates for implementing Azure services.
  • Manage our digital platform’s data ingestion processes, handling high-frequency and large volumes of data.
  • Data types include structured, semi-structured, and unstructured.

• Scalable Data Architecture Solutions:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of data lakehouses and fine-tune databases for optimal performance and scalability.
  • Develop solutions within a multi-tenant architecture to support scalability and isolation, utilizing data governance best practices.
  • Apply your experience in developing within a microservice architecture.

• DevOps and Collaboration Tools:

  • Experience with Azure DevOps and/or Atlassian products for streamlined development and collaboration.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Proven experience with Azure Services, including data engineering and data processing.

• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or C#.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.

Education and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a data-related role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Azure or other cloud service certifications are a plus.
