Kuehne+Nagel Sea Logistics Customer Care Team Lead in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Your Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager you will coordinate Sea Import shipments including opening of import files in KN system, production of internal documentation, obtain and maintain import statuses, assist and advise customer of status updates, arrange deliveries, audit and process vendor invoices (including price conversions), dealing with queries from customers and Kuehne + Nagel Overseas offices as well as ensuring excellent standard of data accuracy are maintained in a timely and efficient manner. You will be responsible for following operational disciplines & regulatory compliance. You will support and ensure business continuity, operational excellence and provide further support to meet the needs of our customers. You will be required to perform a variety of duties as outlined in Operational Procedures in support of the organization’s/branch’s /divisional activities. Your Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for client contact, ensuring quality service is provided to all customers.

  • Ensures prompt and accurate, booking, documentation and invoicing.

  • Identify and resolve issues, immediately reporting to manager,divisional manager or branch.

  • Work in accordance with QSHE working instructions, client SOP’s andprocedures.

  • Support the business implementation on operational level to meet customerexpectations.

  • You will assist with monitoring of performance (sub-contractors, productivity, qualityof service, incident management by applying root cause method and correctiveactions

  • Manage the movement of customer cargo into the United States in accordancewith organizational policy and procedure ensuring compliance with relevant local,country and international law and processes.

  • Give input regarding existing process, procedures and working environments to improve and advance the service level to the customer,profitability of file.

  • Assure proper information flow with sales and local management on changes and/orproblems with external customers, with specific focus on Sea LogisticsForwarding concerns.

  • Provide timely responses to external/internal customers and other Kuehne+Nagel offices.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • 1-3 years' logistics experience

  • 1+ years' experience in sea logistics

  • Ability to report to the office 4 days per week.

  • Ability to attend New Hire Training in Detroit, MI during your second week of employment.
