Position Responsibilities Conduct periodic physical measurements of WIP and finished product using scales, verniers, dial indicators, calipers, electronic indicators, pressure sensing instruments, and other more complex instruments, both mechanical and electronic. Complete routine visual checks for verification to ensure that all products meet or exceed expectations. Serve as a subject matter quality control area expert to provide guidance for any subjective visual, dimensional or specification related quality issues that may arise during production within an area. Responsible for carrying out all necessary raw material testing and retesting. Troubleshoot any quality control related equipment issues in real time. Ensure that the lab of work area is clean, neat and set-in-order. Maintain accurate and thorough records of all test results and reports on any noted issues and/or deviations from specification. Fill in as needed for other Quality Group roles to ensure quality control responsibilities are adequately covered.
