What You’ll Be Doing

The Enterprise Innovation team plays a key role in CIBC’s mission to build the bank of the future by providing the enterprise with human understandings of emerging trends and technologies, driving hands on experimentation that deepen our insights into new opportunities and oncoming disruption, growing CIBC’s culture and community of innovation, and working with partners across the bank to deliver new ‘firsts’ for CIBC.

Reporting to the Director, Strategy & Engagement, the Senior Consultant will be responsible for supporting engagements, design and thought leadership learning capabilities for the team.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Industry research and knowledge: be curious about emerging trends and technology helping to identify relevant topics that will impact our bank and our clients. You’re passionate about emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), mixed reality and more.

  • Strengthen thought leadership capabilities: support the execution of the Future Now Franchise, identifying new and creative ways to drive thought leadership around our organization

  • Growth mindset – You support agile, innovation and change. You leverage your understanding of visual design principles to help communicate.

  • Planning and organization: You effectively look at the macro level objectives to develop, propose and execute various events and engagement

  • Human centered de s ign approach: be end user focused and apply design thinking methodologies to the work, ensuring that we are Simplify complex technologies and disruptive trends into relatable concepts, craft personalized and impactful stories that inform and enable action

  • Partnered engagements : Translate potential opportunities into actionable plans that drive alignment, understanding stakeholder needs and manage ongoing deliverables as needed

  • External presence: Act as CIBC'S expert representative in internal and external forums to influence their agenda and maintain personal knowledge “currency” in the emerging trends & tech domain to provide value added consulting to leadership on an ongoing basis
